Eurogamer - reported recently, that the Kinect’s infrared camera is actually capable the higher resolution than the game console itself supports, and its more advance on track and sensitive enough to detect individual’s finger motions and inevitably lead to gesture control and it could see not only the position of your hand, but the rotation as well. Microsoft’s Kinect engineers team are supposedly working very hard on a switching or compression technology that will allow a greater amount of data to transferred from Kinect to the Xbox 360 console. They told us it ran at 320 x 240, you'll find both color and depth cameras display 640 x 480 images if you hook the peripheral up to a PC, Microsoft want to do the same in the video space Eurogamer tell. Microsoft had not responded to Eurogamer’s request for the comment publication, but Digital Foundry's Rich Leadbetter's said that a firmware-based solution is "eminently doable," as described the potential accuracy improvement. "It is uncertain just how accurate the camera's sensor is," even when operating at a higher resolution. "Additionally, processing four times as many depth pixels could slow things down more."
